Utsav Gupta is from New Delhi, India. He received his B.Tech. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, India (formerly SRM University) in 2018 and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2020. His areas of focus in his bachelor’s degree were power systems and electrical machinery with a minor in electronics, while his areas of focus in his the master’s degree were power electronics and motor drives, as well as substantial coursework in signal processing and control systems. He has also completed two internships, one in Havells India Ltd. in 2016 in electrical fuse and switchgear manufacturing and the other in PowerGrid Corporation of India Ltd. in 2017 in the design of power transmission and distribution systems. Utsav joined the Power Management Research Lab (PMRL) at The Ohio State University, Columbus in 2020 to pursue his Ph.D. His research is focused on fully-integrated high-voltage power converters in SiC technology.
